Tridel believes in strong, unified communities, and takes their corporate social responsibility very seriously. Tridel is involved in many worthwhile community initiatives.
Cardiac Health Foundation
Tridel is a major sponsor of the Canadian Cardiac Health Foundation. Tridel participated in the 2011 Annual Walk of Life helping to raise over $450,000 for Cardiac Care. The Cardiac Health Foundation supports facilities, scholarships & research, patient & public awareness, professional education and medical equipment across Canada..Visit cardiachealth.ca for more information.
B.O.L.T. Program (Building Opportunities for Life Today)
The B.O.L.T. Program, a collaborative community and industry initiative, sponsored by the Tridel group assists youth to connect to careers in construction by providing awareness, financial support and mentoring to facilitate their success in the construction industry. BOLT, through the Children’s Aid Foundation, has awarded 14scholarships to assist youth pursue post secondary education. Currently, a B.O.L.T. (Tridel & Partners) Scholarship Fund has been established with George Brown College to help support youth who are pursuing a career in construction.
Yee Hong - Tridel 50km/100km Cycling Challenge
Tridel also is a lead sponsor for The Dragon Ball which is the Annual Gala to support the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation. A caring community where seniors and others enjoy the highest quality of life. In June, we participated in the Yee Hong-Tridel 50km/100km Cycling Challenge
Mayor's Invitational Softball Tournament
In July, our Tridel Titans Team participated in the annual MIST Mayor’s Invitational Softball Tournament to help raise over $300,000 for the YMCA of Oakville. In addition, Tridel contributed to the Older Adult Centre at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, and made a joint donation with the Scarborough Town Centre to the Ontario Nurses' Association Benevolent Fund.
Children's Wish Foundation
Tridel continues to support the Children's Wish Foundation with proceeds from our annual golf tournament.
In May of 2004, Tridel was actively involved in the celebration of a Grand Opening for the new 228 bed long-term Care Facility at Copernicus Lodge. Celebrating 25 years of providing a culturally friendly environment, first class care, dignity, comfort and hope in the face of advancing age for the residents of Copernicus Lodge.
