Construction Update

Construction at Aqualuna, the fourth and final tower in the Bayside Toronto community by Hines and Tridel, continues to progress with key milestones nearing completion.

Both the north and south hoists remain operational, with a target for dismantling later this year. Four residential elevators (two per tower) have successfully passed inspections and are now fully operational, while the curtain wall and window wall systems are also 100% complete. Installation of balcony railings is ongoing across all levels, with completion targeted later this month.

Interior progress is substantial, with exterior and demising walls, interior framing, and M&E (mechanical & electrical) rough-ins now fully complete, aside from the hoist suites. Finishes are advancing between floors 9 and 13, including kitchens, tiles, hardwood flooring, countertops, and electrical and plumbing fixtures.

The East Bayfront Community Centre is progressing in tandem with the residential tower and is expected to be turned over to the City of Toronto by April 2025. In partnership with Waterfront Toronto, Hines and Tridel are also leading the completion of the Water’s Edge Promenade along the north, east, and south sides of Aqualuna. This civil, electrical, and landscape work is anticipated to wrap up by Q1 2025.
