Construction Update - February 2026
Construction at Queen Church continues to progress as the community begins its transition from below grade to above.
The Above Grade Structural Permit and Plumbing Permit have now been secured, marking an important milestone as the community moves into its next phase. Forming is currently underway on the Ground Floor slab, with walls and columns progressing toward the Ground Mezzanine level. As construction advances, Queen Church will soon begin to rise along the downtown Toronto skyline.
To safely accommodate ongoing construction activities, the City of Toronto has approved a temporary closure of the southbound lane and west sidewalk of Dalhousie Street, from Queen Street partway up the block. This closure remains in effect from September 19, 2025 to September 30, 2028.
