The Well is coming to life before our very eyes as construction continues at Front Street and Spadina Avenue.
Since our last construction update in August 2022, the on-site teams at Classic I and Signature Series have reached a major milestone with the dismantling of the community crane. The cranes played a pivotal role in the construction phase supporting the distribution of heavy materials safely. Crane dismantling is an exciting milestone as we move another step closer to welcoming first residents. Classic II crane dismantling is expected in early 2023.
Check back often to see progress from our on-site construction camera.
Façade.
With the building envelope now completed at Classic I and Classic II, homeowners and neighbours passing by, can admire The Well’s glass envelope and staggered balconies coming to life. On Wellington Street West, the Signature Series’ brick envelope is now 85% completed with window installation on the 9th floor, making for a sparkling impression on Wellington Street West.
Whilst externally the site is well developed with all towers now at full height and external Façades almost complete; internal work is progressing to ensure all towers are ready for homeowners next year!
Luxurious Interiors.
The Well’s thoughtfully-considered floorplans – featuring an array of premium features and high-quality finishes – are well underway with suite framing on the 35th floor in Classic Series I, the 13th floor in Classic Series II, and on 3rd floor in the Signature Series.
Framing is a construction technique which involves building a supportive framework of studs that will become the outline of where the walls will be. Following closely behind, the boarding crew is working on the installation of the drywall sheets onto the steel studs.
The luxurious private amenities, including Fitness Centres, Entertainment and Multi-purpose lounges are starting to take shape with framing and drywall installation underway.
Retail.
Measuring nearly 160m in length, 80m in with, and sitting three storeys above The Well’s retail space, the canopy provides residents and neighbours a dry and bright path by connecting the residential and commercial buildings using steel and glass components. The nearly 2,000 panes that create the canopy have now been installed.
